Here are this week’s top tips on all things sport and racing

The Perth Wildcats hit the road to take on the NBL title favourites the Sydney Kings on Sunday.

It shapes as a stern test for the Wildcats and while they are not without a chance of causing an upset it is a match I am going to stay out of.

My NBL multi for this week requires South East Melbourne Phoenix to defeat New Zealand in to Melbourne United to cover the line and beat Adelaide by 8 points or more. The multi is paying $2.79.

The Perth Glory were disappointing last Sunday when they went down 2-1 to Central Coast at home.

This weekend they take on Newcastle who sit 10th on the table with a draw and two losses from their first three matches.

It is another great opportunity for the Glory to bank three points. They need to start cashing on these matches against the lesser lights of the competition if they are to contend in season 2019/20.

My A-League multi for this weekend requires Melbourne City and the Melbourne Victory to both win this weekend. The multi price is $3.33.

I will take a multi which requires Chelsea, Manchester United and Burnley to all win. The multi is paying $4.58.

Australia have dominated the Summer of Cricket to date and that looks set to continue in game three of the T20 Internationals against Pakistan at Optus Stadium tonight.

Australia are paying $1.20 with Pakistan a $4.50 outsider – I would be very surprised if this was anything but another convincing  victory for the Aussies.

You can take the $1.20 in some of your multis for the weekend and Babar Azam has emerged as Pakistan’s standout batsman – the $2.50 about him to be their leading run scorer while skinny appears the logical play.

My best bets of the weekend are as follows :

Flemington Saturday Race 4 Number 5 True Self  (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $2.05) : Irish stayer who was having her first run in Australia in the Geelong Cup when she was beaten a narrow margin behind Prince Of Arran who has since come out earlier in the week and run second in this year’s Melbourne Cup. That looks a very strong form line and Trainer Willie Mullins is one of the premier conditioners of stayers in world racing. Handles the wet track if the expected rain arrives and she appears a standout here.

Flemington Saturday Race 5 Number 1 Santa Ana Lane (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $2.25) : Gun sprinter who was storming home in the Everest at his latest start finishing runner up behind Yes Yes Yes when beaten by just half a length. Looks to be good speed in this event with Nature Strip likely to run them along and he should get room to produce his trademark finishing burst late in this event. Very hard to hold out.

Flemington Saturday Race 6 Number 13 Girl Tuesday (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $4.80) : Classy mare who was tremendous at her most recent outing when finishing 4th beaten a tick over a length in the Tesio Stakes at Moonee Valley. Looks like the step up to 2000 metres here will be ideal and this race should be right up her alley. Great each way play.

Ascot Saturday Race 6 Number 7 Smarty (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $3.30) : In form mare who has won her last three starts in Kalgoorlie. Steps up in class here but the Fernie stable have had a happy knack of bringing these sorts of horses to town and getting results in recent times. Is racing with great confidence and will take some stopping.

Cannington Saturday Race 8 Number 6 Who’s Got Cash (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price Not Available) : Having his first start over 600 metres but looms as a potential star stayer in the making . Maps to sit on speed and blow them away. Other nice bets look to be 7-8 Hastie Guess and 9-4 Reidy’s Runner.
