Here are this week’s top tips on all things sport and racing

Here are this week’s top tips on all things sport and racing

The Boxing Day Test between Australia and India at the MCG  is set up to be an epic encounter with the series locked at 1-1.

Australia were outstanding in the Second Test where a Man Of The Match performance by Nathan Lyon saw the Aussies square up the series.

Heading into the Third Test Australia are the $2.10 favourites with India at $2.50 and the draw paying $5.50.

I think Australia will gain great confidence out of the victory and I am happy to be on them to win the Third Test at $2.10.

Virat Kohli remains the key wicket in the match and I will continue to back him in to be the leading runscorer for India at $3.00.

The Perth Scorchers had a horror start to their campaign overnight going down to the Melbourne Renegades after making just 103 runs in their first innings of the tournament.

They are much better than that and I expect them to bounce back big time when they take on the Sydney Sixers tomorrow night.

I will take the multi with the Sydney Thunder to defeat the Melbourne Stars tonight and the Scorchers to defeat the Sixers. The multi price is $3.33.

Other novelty plays in those two matches include Glenn Maxwell most runs Stars at $3.20, Shane Watson most runs Thunder at $3.50 and Ashton Turner most runs Scorchers at $8.

I’ll take a multi which requires the Perth Wildcats to beat Brisbane, Adelaide to beat Cairns and Sydney to beat Melbourne. The multi is paying $3.73.

This weekend I will opt for a four leg multi which requires Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal to all prevail. The multi price is $2.73.

I am taking a multi with the Glory to defeat Sydney FC and Adelaide to defeat Western Sydney. The multi is paying $4.77.

Another great weekend of racing highlighted by the Group 2 Van Heemst Stakes at Ascot.

My best bets of the weekend are as follows:

Flemington Saturday Race 6 Number 6 Order Of Command (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $2.90) : Resumed from a break when a winner here over 1100 metres in November and once again goes fresh into this event. Has put together an impressive career record and from the good draw and with the services of Damien Oliver is sure to take some stopping again.

Flemington Saturday Race 7 Number 4 Haunted (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $4.40) : Has had 10 career outings for 5 wins and 4 placings and has had a fine preparation starting 5 times for 3 wins and 2 placings. Has a good record at this track and distance and no reason why he can’t continue on his winning ways in this event. Looks a great each way play.

Warwick Farm Saturday Race 6 Number 8 The Art Of The Bar (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $2.00) : Talented filly who is aiming up at her fourth straight victory here. Steps out to the 1400 metres for the first time here but has a great record at this track and has given the impression that the extra trip should pose no problem. Can continue on her winning ways.

Ascot Saturday Race 3 Number 1 Angelic Ruler (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $2.50) : Returned in stellar fashion last Saturday when she came from last on the home corner before displaying a dazzling finishing burst when bolting in. Only has to produce something like that again to be very hard to hold out. Classy filly.

Mandurah Friday Race 2 Number 5 Dashing Tiger (No Fixed Odds Available) : Dashing Tiger has been runner-up behind the very talented Love Me Tinder at his last two starts and will relish not having to race against that dashing speedster tonight. Earlier in the night I think race 3 number 1 Sunset Prada can run well and in race 8 number 6 Love Me Tinder can make it 4 straight wins.
