I will take a multi with the three International matches that are taking place this weekend.
I will combine South Africa to defeat Sri Lanka in the Second Test, into England to defeat England in the One-Dayer tonight into India to defeat Australia in Sunday’s T20. The multi price is $2.33.
In novelty markets I am backing Chris Gayle to be the leading runscorer for the West Indies at $3.70 and Jason Roy to top score for England at $4.60.
In Sunday night’s T20 clash Virat Kohli picks himself to be the leading runscorer for India at $3. If Ashton Turner was to get an opportunity for Australia I would be happy to speck him at good odds to have an impact fresh off another very successful Big Bash tournament.
Quite simply tonight’s AFL X experiment is a bit of a guessing game but I am going to be watching it and I have had a small bet for an interest.
I like the prospect of Nat Fyfe and Marcus Bontempelli combining and have backed Fyfe’s outfit Team Flyers to win the Grand Final which is paying $3.00.
This weekend I will opt for a three leg multi which requires Newcastle, Tottenham and Arsenal to all win their matches. The multi price is $4.47.
I am taking a multi with the Perth Glory to beat Western Sydney and Sydney FC to prevail over the Wellington Phoenix. The multi price is $3.70.
UFC FIGHT NIGHT 145
I’ll have a three leg multi which needs Marcos Rogerio De Lima, Petr Yan and Magomed Ankalaev to win their respective bouts. The multi is paying $3.18.
A stellar day of Racing at Caulfield for Blue Diamond Day with three Group 1’s on the menu.
My best bets of the weekend are as follows :
Caulfield Saturday Race 6 Number 11 Alizee (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $2.40) : Outstanding mare who has had two runs back from a break and has been dominant in both performances winning the Christmas Classic at Randwick and the Expressway at Rosehill. Stretches out to 1400 metres here and runs into a hot lineup but on what I’ve seen in her last two starts they are going to have to produce something pretty special to beat her. Is flying and looks the goods.
Caulfield Saturday Race 9 Number 8 Avilius (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $2.10) : Former French stayer who has had 7 starts since coming to Australia for 5 wins and returned from a spell in grand style when a fresh winner over 1600 metres here in the Carlyon Cup a fortnight ago. Has great second up statistics and from barrier one should have a nice economical run in transit. Can continue on his winning ways.
Ascot Saturday Race 7 Number 11 Carocapo (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $2.20) : Has had three runs back from a 12 month injury enforced layoff and has got better on each occasion culminating in a victory over 1200 metres at Pinjarra on Magic Millions Day. With the benefit of those three runs back he should be getting close to peaking and this looks right up his alley. Should get the cash.
Ascot Saturday Race 8 Number 1 Special Delivery (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $6.50) : Has returned from an extensive break in tip top order with a win and an eye catching third behind the classy Alpha Sky. Has to deal with a big weight but he is a strong horse and this is his pet distance. Likely to get back and be charging home. Will need a bit of luck navigating through the traffic in the home straight but if he gets clear air will be rocketing home. Looks a great each way play.
Mandurah Friday Race 4 Number 1 Slingshot Gypsy (No Fixed Odds Available) : Speedy beginner who should shoot straight to the top from this draw and put time on the board. I will be taking her in All Up win bets with 7-3 Quara’s Emma and 9-1 Dusty Mac.
