The Perth Wildcats have had another stellar season and that looks set to continue on Saturday night when they play host to the Adelaide 36ers who effectively have nothing to play for with no finals on the horizon for them.
The Wildcats are hot favourites at $1.14 to win and they have been well backed to cover the line and win by 12 points or more which is in to $1.88.
I’m happy to back the Cats to win by 12 points or more at the $1.88 and will take them in a multi with Sydney and Melbourne United to also win which is paying $2.61. I will also back in the Wildcats to win big and speck some of the bigger margin options on the Pick Your Own Line including Wildcats 20 plus at $4, 25 or more at $7.50 and 30 points or more at $12.
If like me you are a big Wildcats fan and think they go on to win another NBL title from here you can step in to some of the $2.50 on offer for them to do so.
T20 SOUTH AFRICA V ENGLAND
Late on Friday night South Africa and England continue their series and it is very hard to go past England who have had the better of the home side throughout the tour.
I am happy to include England at the $1.54 in a multi or two this weekend.
In novelty plays Quinton deKock most runs South Africa at $3 looks inviting while the $9 on offer about Ben Stokes to be the leading runscorer for England will get me for a small play.
My Premier League multi for this week requires Tottenham, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool to all prevail. The multi quote is $3.62.
Our AFLW multi was successful last week and I will be looking to do it all over again this time around.
It is a very special occasion for both Fremantle and West Coast with the first ever AFLW Western Derby taking place at Optus Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Fremantle were very strong late in their convincing 16 point win over Geelong while West Coast lost their inaugural AFLW contest going down at the hands of Collingwood by 27 points.
A huge crowd is expected and it appears at this stage that Fremantle are better equipped to prevail.
Fremantle looked potent up forward with Duffy and Houghton in particular proving real livewires in front of the big sticks.
I will again look for a multi and include North Melbourne and Adelaide to win in to Fremantle to cover the line and win by 17 points or more. The multi price is $3.03.
My best racing bets of the weekend are as follows:
Flemington Saturday Race 5 Number 3 Alligator Blood (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $2.00) : Star three year old who has had 9 starts for 8 wins and a close up 2nd in the Caulfield Guineas and has won more than $2 million in the process. Last start was a stylish winner of the Magic Millions 3 Year Old Classic on the Gold Coast and while he meets some quality opposition here it’s hard to oppose him. I’ve been with him right through and no reason to jump off here.
Randwick Saturday Race 5 Number 2 Cascadian (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $4.40) : Classy type who was superb last preparation in the Spring and last start was a luckless 3rd in the Cantala Stakes at Flemington behind Fierce Impact. He has been in my Black Book since that run and returns fresh here. Has won 2 of 3 first up in the past and is a horse to follow!
Randwick Saturday Race 9 Number 1 Reelem In Ruby (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $6.00) : One of the most consistent mares in the business having had 10 career starts for 4 wins, 5 seconds and a third. From 4 tries first up in the past she has managed a win and 3 seconds. Looks a tremendous each way bet and a nice place banker for your all ups.
Ascot Saturday Race 4 Number 7 Plutocracy (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price $4.60) : Is knocking on the door after placings at his last four starts and looks a great chance to be right in the finish again. The clear danger looks to be Some Sort and they look a solid quinella play but at the value Plutocracy is worth a look.
Cannington Saturday Race 1 Number 1 Nessa’s Yasmin (TABtouch Fixed Odds Price Not Available) : Won well for us as our Best Bet last week and has again drawn perfectly in the red. Should be hard to get past. Other nice plays on the program look to be 2-1 Taffeta Bale, 4-6 Tommy Shelby, 6-7 Steve Monelli and 9-2 Fernando Star.
